Tomorrow Belongs to Me

in case anyone missed Barack Obama's exciting sports arena speech Thursday night - here's your chance to experience the thrill of a charismatic leader tapping the force of youthful idealism


too bad the Senator failed to reiterate his pledge to create "a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded" as our military


anyway... if history is any guide, here's what we can expect of a paramilitary which attracts volunteers motivated by political ideology & allegiance to a cult of personality

Regarding the truck accident causing 60-90 days of traffic nightmares ("80-ton engine nearly levels I-74 overpass", May 22):

How ironic that the 'wrecking ball' was a train locomotive engine!

Perhaps this could be a learning moment, as we contemplate the government regulations and union featherbedding which make public highways preferable to private rail lines for hauling such freight over 700 miles from Canton, Ohio to Lipscomb, Alabama.

Let's consider the impact that more economically rational transportation policies would have on air pollution, oil imports, public safety, and the maintenance of public roads and bridges.
